Welcome to Rossville

The beautiful fall weather made me want to fly the coop again this weekend, so my daughter and I headed for our favorite small town destination--Rossville, Indiana. It's just a 20 minute drive through open fields, rolling hills and lots of farms. For some reason, I experience a true peace in my soul in this town, and hope that someday I might be able to live in this area.

For a small town, this one has everything I need! To start we headed for the Flour Mill Bakery. It's off the main road, but worth the side trip.

By the time we got there in the early afternoon, they were low on the good stuff--donuts, cookies, pies--but we did bring home some bread and pumpkin butter!

Our next stop is always the farm market.

On to Rossville Quilts, which inspires my creativity.

And of course, no quaint small town would be complete without antique shops, and this one has two! They both have ever-changing, creative displays and the prices can't be beat. First is Back Through Time Antique Mall.

We couldn't take pictures inside, but this gives you an idea of what's inside. You can see the old buildings reflected in the window!

Across the street and just a little ways down is The Peacock Perch.

I loved the fall display that was in their front window.

Rossville is my idea of a perfect place. No crowds, no traffic, just friendly people everywhere we go. This little red hen feels right at home.

Thanks so much for sharing Rossville with me. I miss Indiana so much. Love these little towns dotted throughout the country side. Enjoy the fall and the turning of the leaves. That's what I miss most.

What a delightful way to spend the day! It's been decades since we drove through the midwest. It's beautiful! Did you find any small containers for a pincushion? =D
Have a wonderful morning, Betsy.

What a nice little town. It sounds like it has everything I need, too. I live in a small town but we are fortunate to still have a grocery store. I would love to have a bakery and an orchard!! (life here is sweet, anyway)

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I love shopping and looking at the surroundings in a small town like the one you visited. Those shops look like great places to spend lots of time and hopefully not too much money. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful mums and the low price on the sign. They would cost more than that around here. Do I sound like a penny pincher? Ha-----

looks like a great little town to spend the day wandering around as you did. I would love to see more inside the vintage shops...My sister just moved to a town a little south of Indy and one of my other sisters lives in West Lafayette. so we drive through Indiana a lot.

I agree with all the girls...what a great town to escape to. Just going along for the ride with your post made me feel as if I was back in time. I live in a VERY tiny town and we are lucky to still have our post office, but nothing like Rossville. Let us know when you go again and I will bring tea.

That is the neatest town! I have never traveled in that part of the country but I think I'll add it to places I would like to visit! Love the antique store...and the BAKERY! I wish we had a good bakery here! ♥

A number of search engines typically set lesser amount focus on this backlinks. You may be not going on some tour and you may not be the frequent traveller or someone who is really in need of the but it would be good option and preparedness if you can have the led flashlight rechargeable for your personal use handy all the time who knows when and where you may require it urgently. This article looks that can not be achieved specified duration, especially after the battery has been in service a while.
